stuff that took forever: lighting, rainbow, lineart, umbrella.
stuff that was hard: rain, shading, umbrella.
stuff I don't like: (her) left eye is squished, left arm is kind of weird position-wise, hairline is too far up, shading doesn't work in places, the light from the rainbow shouldn't be BEHIND her, rain didn't turn out like I planned, umbrella.

although I complain about it, I honestly love getting sick. 2 whole days of photoshop, sympathy, sleeping and house dvds!!!!! And here's the result. It's a conglomeration of the ideas from different sayings: 'saving stuff for a rainy day', 'keeping dreams in your pocket', 'silver lining', and there's probably more...

People always say 'look on the bright side', but sometimes I don't think that the bright is bright enough to have a 'side'. Who says that everything has to have a 'side'? things like light and dark lie along a continuum...*goes on a long, philosophical rant*

anyways, sort of a motivational thingo. I really didn't mean all that to come out as corny as it did. Really. I hate that freaking umbrella.
